It's good to know this stuff!
Tarot? What's that? What is this? Where am I?
Look over here, my friend!
This site doesn't have anything to do with hoodoo-voodoo, does it?
No, it does not.
Is this some kind of art gallery?
Yes! It's a gallery of artwork relating to Tarot created by webcomic artists.
Well, it sounds interesting, and I have a webcomic. I want in!
Great! Find out how to here and get to signing up!
Do I have to draw in a particular style to join in?
Nope! All styles, genres, levels of humor, digital/traditional, and whatever else have you are acceptible. Please do your own thing! Make it detailed or simple - make something that represents your comic!
So I'm free to interpret the cards in my own way?
Yep! As far as that goes, you're free. Just make sure that it relates to your webcomic somehow.
Does my card have to be in full color?
It would be preferred, but black and white is fine, of course - just create a finished-looking image. :) Please, no rough sketches.
Do I have to create something completely new for this project?
Yes! It'd be preferred. Please don't recycle older artwork or comic pages/frames (or, if you do, don't make them the sole/focus part of your card).
Is there a template?
Yes! It's totally optional, of course, but some (like you) may prefer it! Download it here.
What if I don't wanna use a template?
Then please keep it at least Tarot-card-shaped, twice as tall as it is wide.
Does it have to be any specific file format/resolution?
When sending it to me, JPG and PNG are always best! Try not to make the submitted-for-display files too huge (but it's a good idea to make the originals high-resolution, like 300DPI).
Is there a rating limit to the content of my card(s)?
It'd be nice if you kept your card(s) tasteful or publically viewable at least, but up to an "R" rating is fine. (Note that we can't host anything explicit, anyway.)
How old should I be to be able to join?
You can be any age!
When's the deadline?
There is none! I know we all have busy lives as artists and many other things - and this is just a low-key, for-fun project made to be enjoyed by creators and fans alike. So draw at your own pace!
Oh no! I wanted to choose ____, but ??? has it already! What do I do?
Unfortunately, nothing. It's first-come, first, served, unless the below happens.
Augh, something happened and I can't participate anymore. :( May I relinquish my card?
Yes you may! It will then be available for someone else to take.
Wait, no, I changed my mind - can you put up what I got finished?
I'm afraid I'll have to turn down half-finished images. If you do happen to finish it in the future, though, I may feature it in some way. :D
I'm kind of taking my sweet time... Are you gonna kick me out if I take too long?
Nope! I'll just give you an occasional (see: quadranual) prod to see if you're still working on it. After all, there is no time limit; still, I want to be sure you're actually making something. :)
Are these going to be printed as an actual deck?
We don't have any plans to print right now, as it tends to get expensive, but if enough interest is generated from the webcomics' fanbases, we might look into starting a drive for it. :D So, "maybe!"
My work is still my work after submitted, right?
Of course! Even if it does go to print, the copyright on your art and its contents are still 100% yours. As such, you can still do whatever you like with your Tarot piece, too.
I have a sprite comic/my Star Wars spoof comic is awesome. Can I be in?
Sorry, but for the sake of copyrights and originality, only drawn and original comics (not based off of anything, that is) will be accepted. (Original sprite comics would be accepted, but I actually have yet to see anyone sprite their own comic.)
I have more than one webcomic! Can I do a card for each?
Yeah, sure! As long as it's no more than two webcomics! It's for the sake of diversity. :)
Hey, my friend has a webcomic! Can I get him/her to join in too?
Sure! Tell everyone you know who has a webcomic about this!
I don't have a webcomic, but I wanna join!!
Well, then you'd better start one!
Well, I'm kind of starting a webcomic...! How about that?
It'd be best if your comic was somewhat established. :D (That is, you have a few pages up already and are going to be a little consistent with updating it!)
Feel free to ask Sen more! Especially if something doesn't make sense.
